Peter Barrow

Managing Director

Peter has a background of over 10 years in aviation both in the RNZAF and private sector. He has since been self-employed developing concepts with both engineering and recycled Plastics. For the last 25 years Peter has been a New Zealand leader in developing materials and concepts in the Plastics industry, and for the last 15 of those has developed a product known as Plaztuff™ a Hyspec Polymer sheet to fabricate structures using plastic extrusion welding technology. His innovative approach has resulted in his design, development and production of a wide range of product that has been used successfully across a range of industries. Peter has also been involved in the development of a composite lightweight plastic aggregate for the concrete industry. Peter is the inventor of the Plazrok concept and a co-inventor on the current patent.

Brendan Meech

Brendan has been a commercial and financing partner with major international law firms. Brendan is now operating his own legal practice. He has been involved with the Plazrok Concept for the last seven years and is now a director and shareholder.

Mike Smith

Asia Managing Director

Mike is a Chartered Professional Engineer with an extensive career in engineering and construction. He has extensive experience in Asia with over 25+ years in Thailand and other countries in Asia. Mike has a wealth of experience as Director, Managing Director, Board Director, and Chairman roles’ in major engineering and construction companies, and as a Regional Manager successfully leading international expansion of businesses in the past.

Alister Lawrence

Executive Director

Alister is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Directors in NZ and has an Honours Degree in Engineering. He has extensive executive and board experience over many years, and has successfully led international expansion of businesses in the past. He is Chairman of the ASEAN NZ Business Council. Alister joined Enviroplaz in 2015.

Stephen Swart

Stephen is a trained and qualified diesel technician. Stephen is a national sporting icon who carved out a professional career in cycling 1985 – 1995 on the world stage where his achievements are still recognized today. Upon retiring Stephen established his own successful businesses in the automotive sector and then in construction. Stephen approached Peter regarding Plaztuff™ in 2011 and the relationship has evolved from there. In June 2013 Stephen and Peter formed Enviroplaz International Ltd with the intention of taking Plaztuff to New Zealand, Australia and Asia.


Neil J Kennedy


Neil has had a long association with both the Plaztuff™ and Plazrok™ concepts. He has wide experience in business in Thailand and has worked as vice-chair of the ASEAN business council where he now acts as communications director. Neil and Peter have worked together on the Plaztuff business since Neil came back from Thailand in 2008.

From Marketing Manager of 10 plus Reps to setting up 4 profitable Branches Nationally throughout New Zealand.

Emily Guise
Finance Manager

Emily is a qualified Chartered Accountant, CA ANZ and has many years of experience working for Publicly Listed Companies in New Zealand in the Construction, Wholesaling & Distribution sectors. Knowing the value of a robust financial roadmap and tight controls over day – to – day systems and administration. She is well placed to assist these entrepreneurs to achieve their goals by keeping their feet on their ground and their budgets on track.

With more than 25 years of experience in construction industries including project coordination, project control/planning, conceptual design, cost estimation, emphasizing on structural design for industrial and public facilities projects. Dr. Manoch brings extensive heavy industrial project design experience, including feasibility, front end engineering design, project planning, geotechnical report reviews, reverse structural analysis, structural integrity assessment, value engineering, structural inspection, quality assurance/control (QA/QC), constructability, and construction management. He also specializes in pile/soil interaction, non-linear analysis of heavy mat foundation, stress-strain analysis, optimization of analysis/design by using finite element technique. Not only has he a wide range of civil / structural design experience, but also in the co-ordination of multi-disciplinary projects which included architectural, mechanical, electrical, process and other engineering element interface.

Pojjana Mengsuwan (Koi)
Business Development & Sales

Pojjana has extensive experience of business development, sales and marketing and has represented a number companies in Thailand for real estate, cool cargo, and fish farming. Pojjana supports Enviroplaz Thailand for Plaztuff sales and marketing and business development. Qualified with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.


John Gibbins
John worked for many years in Nigeria and Malawi as Production/ Works manager, working with a wide range of engineering companies producing a variety of products such as steel furniture, steel structures, air-conditioners, refrigerators, machinery etc.
He went on to become a product consultant working in Jamaica, Spain, India and Kazakhstan.
John returned to the UK to take up the position of Production Director for a leading PVC window extrusion company and thereafter spent over 25 years running his own plastic recycling company, processing and consulting on post-industrial and post – consumer plastics.
John is a member of the PCN (Plastic Consultancy Network), which is part of British Plastics Federation BPF.
